This dynamic course will help clinicians sharpen their decision-making skills using the International Classification of Function and Expanded Disablement Model Frameworks as applied to the acute care and ICU setting. Learn to analyze what chart data impacts your therapy treatment, how bed rest impacts the cardiovascular and pulmonary physiology and evidence-based guidelines for treating the cardiopulmonary patient safely. Assess for stability during treatment in order to mobilize the patient as soon as possible. You will be able to discuss clinical conditions associated with risk for ARD, the mechanisms of hypertension, valvular and ventricular dysfunction (heart failure) and how the patient compensates physiologically.
