We first connected with Dr. Louisa Ferrara at the NANT Conference in April 2018. An exceptional practitioner experienced in providing care for neonates, medically-fragile children, and children with complex medical and developmental needs, Louisa impressed us with the many distinguished post-nominal letters after her name. But just as notable is her genuine desire to help children and families manage neonatal issues and her passion and commitment to advancing the field of pediatrics. Louisa has worked in numerous pediatric settings, most recently as a Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist in Feeding and Swallowing Disorders at a Level III NICU, where she developed and currently manages the hospital’s NICU Feeding Program. Louisa also has a Doctorate degree in Speech and Language Pathology and received her Board Certification in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders through ASHA. She recently earned specification as a Certified Neonatal Therapist through NANT.
