You will learn to describe adventitious sounds and what diagnoses they might indicate, classify valvular sounds heard with auscultation, and discuss the mechanisms and sounds heard in Aortic Stenosis and mitral regurgitation, which are commonly seen in the ICU and acute care setting and their implications.

A stethoscope is recommended for this session and we suggest that you have a friend, roommate, spouse or otherwise willing partner to practice on during the lab.
