Primitive Reflex Integration: Is it Relevant to my School-Based Practice
The term “primitive reflex integration” has grown in popularity over the past 5 years. Is it a new therapy fad? What is it really, and how is it relevant to your current practice? Learn how reflex integration applies to school performance, participation, and stress


  1. Discuss the importance of exploring primitive reflexes in the pediatric population
  2. List 3 strategies to support integration of primitive reflexes

Session B:
Strategies to Promote Integration of Primitive Reflexes
Poor reflex integration can impact all aspects of a child’s development – gross and fine motor development, visual perceptual skills, attention, and coping skills. Learn how to evaluate primitive reflexes and provide individual, group-based, and consultation strategies to support your child’s success at school.


  1. Discuss how the developmental sequence as it relates to primitive reflexes.
  2. Effectively assess primitive reflexes in the pediatric population.
  3. Utilize treatment tools for primitive reflex integration for individual, small group, and classroom intervention.

If you wish to get continuing education credits after watching this session, you will need to take the post-test and pass it with a grade of 80% or better. To take the exam, watch session A and B and click the tab "Take Exam", after watching session B. After you have submitted your answers, you will find out if you passed. If you passed, click the "Receive certificate" button to download and print your CEU certificate. If you did not pass, you may re-take the exam at your convenience until you pass.
