ACUTE AND CRITICAL CARE THERAPY SERIES Individual Sessions: Clinical Physiological Monitoring - Lab Values, Case Study, Tests

Course Description:

Education Resources is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Acute and Critical Care Therapy online course series. The sessions are recorded live from Steven Sadowsky's, highly acclaimed courses, and are now available to a wide range of health care professionals.

This course covers physiological monitoring in the acute care and ICU setting, taking into account routine blood lab values. The symptoms and signs to watch for as well as the impact of these changes on exercise tolerance will be explored. Learn how to assess physical function and the prognoses for outcomes, how to recognize common and less common MI symptoms and assess the levels of sedation seen in this setting. You will utilize several early mobility decision trees, including the Hillegass, for safely giving physical and occupational therapy, and be able to discuss mortality risk calculators in this population. Through clinical case study you will hone your decision making skills.

This course is offered for 2.5 Contact Hours, 0.25 CEUs (Intermediate Level)
