Leslie Davidson

Leslie Freeman Davidson, PhD, OTR/L is currently associate director of the occupational therapy program at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia and President of Riverbend Therapeutics, LLC, a community based rehabilitation and consulting company. She has practiced occupational therapy for the last nineteen years and during that time her practice has emphasized evaluation and treatment of individuals with mild and moderate traumatic brain injury. Her experience at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Georgetown University Medical Center, and home/community health has provided her with opportunities to understand the continuum of care. She has been a contributor to a number of Department of Defense rehabilitation initiatives for warriors with mild and moderate traumatic brain injury. Leslie has provided education seminars in the areas of brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation, the application of practical neuro-ergonomics to various learning platforms, and the functional implications of TBI/PTSD co-morbidity. She recently received her PhD at Virginia Tech in human development and adult learning, she holds a Masters of Arts degree from New York University in occupational therapy, a Masters of Science in special education from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelors of Arts from Indiana University.
