Dr. Jeff Koninis an internationally respected clinician and presenter. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and the Director of the Athletic Training Education Program and the Executive Director of the Sports Medicine & Athletic Related Trauma (SMART) Institute at the University of South Florida. Dr. Konin is the author of numerous textbooks on sports medicine related topics, consults with a variety of organizations and publishing companies, and is a frequent invited speaker on sports medicine topics, particularly related to the prevention and care of youth sports injuries. His current research is focused on youth sports safety. Dr. Konin has shared his expertise at state, regional, and national meetings throughout the United States, as well as in Italy, Norway, Australia, and New Zealand. He is the recipient of many awards, including being recognized in 2008 by NATA with the Continuing Education Excellence award.
